The name Quhnia (cooh-u-nia), a simplified spelling of the Polish word 'kuchnia', means a kitchen. Quhnia is a small, quaint restaurant located in New York's stirring East Village. Charming ambience of an old prewar villa. In fact, it feels almost like the prewar years. Traditional polish/russian cusine of the highest order. Many a mouth waters at the simple recollection of the crusty crostini with mushrooms vol-au-vent. For cold waves try our soul warming delicious soups. And like with any good dinner party, you can enjoy conversations while sipping fine wine or home made infused vodka. In my kitchen, I preheat a memory, I fold old friends with new I bake a good laugh. Margaret |
